Cormac McCarthy's Road To Sexiness

Cormac McCarthy has apparently had some career in writing for like decades or whatever, but he was only a blip on the literary scene until his book The Road appeared on Oprah's Book Club, which is the highest honor for any author.

But we only know who he is because his books are getting made into movies!! There was No Country for Old Men, which we didn't see because it sounded like there'd be old people in it and old people aren't sexy. Don't worry, though, because now they're making The Road with Viggo Mortensen, who is ruggedly handsome and hot and very sexy so we might see that one. I don't know what it's about, but it probably centers around a fun cross-country road trip full of high jinks! I bet it's set during Spring Break!

Get ready for Hollywood, Mr. McCarthy. The "aging writer exploring human darkness and emptiness" look isn't going to cut it in Los Angeles. Go for "21st century hot cowboy" instead.

I recently finished reading "Blood Meridian" and was very excited to learn that there are talks of making that into a movie as well. I'd watch it to see how they film a tree full of hanging dead babies alone.
